Over my career as a crisis management underwriter, retail broker and wholesale broker, I've witnessed firsthand how important a proper placement strategy can be. There are no "standard" product recall policies and ensuring your program is placed with the proper carrier, policy form and extensions will dictate how that policy responds during a crisis. Given the sensitive nature of almost any crisis, being prepared upfront with well thought out and practiced plans and having the capability to respond quickly and effectively is your first line of defense.
